The 1984–85 Northern Counties East Football League season was the 3rd in the history of Northern Counties East Football League. The league consisted of 68 teams.

Premier Division

The division featured 19 clubs, with the following new teams:

  • Denaby United, promoted from NCEL Division One South
  • Pontefract Collieries, promoted from NCEL Division One North
