History

Blidworth Welfare was formed in 1926 as Folk House Old Boys F.C., but changed to Blidworth Welfare F.C. in 1982. Since 2008, the club has played in the Central Midlands League. They first entered the FA Cup in the 1993–94 season.

In the 1997–98 season they lost all 28 league games, conceding 186 goals and scoring only eight. They were so bad that The FA invited them to a training session with the England national football team.
