1253 Frisia (1931 TV1) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on October 9, 1931, by Reinmuth, K. at Heidelberg. Measurements of the lightcurve made in 2010 and 2011 give a rotation period of 14.557 ± 0.002 hours. It has a diameter of 30.1 km.

It was later named after Friesland, the province in the northwest of the Netherlands.
