Zygoma reduction plasty, a plastic and cosmetic surgery, by making the zygoma smaller surgically to achieve a desired plastic and cosmetic outcome.
This surgery is popular among Asian people driven by their facial structure character and aesthetic perspective trend.
The incision is on the mucosa of the mouth. After exposing, part of the zygomatic bone is trimmed away, or the front part of the zygomatic arch is moved inword by osteotomy of the zygoma and the zygomatic arch.
