Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. is one of the major electric locomotive manufacturers in China. It is one of the subsidiary companies of CRRC Corporation.

History

Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Works was founded in 1936.

In 2005 Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Works was formed into CSR Group Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. (as part of the China South Locomotive and Rolling Stock Industry (Group) Corporation CSRG). In December 2007 it was renamed CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd.

Joint ventures

Siemens Traction Equipment Ltd. (STEZ), Zhuzhou China, is a joint venture between Siemens, Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd. (TEC) and CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co which produces AC drive electric locomotives and AC locomotive traction components.

In September 2012, CSR Zhuzhou agreed to build a factory at Batu Gajah in Malaysia.
