Career

Zhu has won six singles and three doubles titles on the ITF tour in her career. On 10 November 2014, she reached her best singles ranking of world number 133. On 10 November 2014, she peaked at world number 302 in the doubles rankings.

Zhu made her WTA tour debut at the 2014 Hong Kong Tennis Open. Having entered the qualifying tournament, she defeated Wang Yafan, Raluca Olaru, and Elitsa Kostova for a spot in the main draw, where she subsequently recorded her first ever main draw win at the WTA level by defeating Kristýna Plíšková in the first round.

For the second year, the WTA asked fans to pick four WTA Rising Stars, two representing the Asia/Pacific Group, and two from the Rest of World Group. Following a highly successful voting process that saw over 2,000,000 votes cast from 137 countries, Zhu Lin was selected to participate in the 2015 WTA Rising Stars Invitational.
