A tough Swedish cop, Johan Falk (Jakob Eklund) tries to foil a jewel heist, but after the gunsmoke clears, one of the robbers, Leo Gaut (Peter Andersson), has gotten away, leaving his partner dead, as well as an innocent bystander. As Gaut tracks down and harasses witnesses who could link him to the crime, he is hunted by Falk, who is being investigated by his peers for his own role in the shootings. Can Falk clear his own name and catch the elusive Gaut?

Zero Tolerance (Swedish: ) is a Swedish action film from 1999 directed by Anders Nilsson. It is the first film in the series about police officer Johan Falk (Jakob Eklund) and is followed by Executive Protection and The Third Wave.

Johan is a two-fisted Gothenburg cop who finds himself in a shoot-out with jewel robbers. After the smoke has cleared, one robber, shot by his accomplice, and an innocent bystander, are dead. Three witnesses, including Helen, identify thug extraordinaire Leo Gaut as being the dead crook's trigger-happy colleague. Gaut soon threatens the three witnesses, and only Johan, the badge-wearing hero, can save them.
Plot

Johan Falk, a Gothenburg police officer and former member of Nationella insatsstyrkan, gets involved in a shooting on Christmas Eve. He saves the life of a little girl but is then drawn into a stream of events and he ends up being the accused. In the search for the truth he sees no other way than to take the law into his own hands, and becomes hunted by his own colleagues.
