Her symphonic debut was with "Butterfly-Mad Kate", 1995 (*1996 -*Butterfly (Mad Kate) by Zenîma - feat. Andrea Bocelli. BMG/Sugar 1996), inspired by the illustration for William Cowper's "The Task" (1785) by Johann Heinrich Füssli. Zenîma's trans-age vocal timbre led to comparisons with artists such as Kate Bush, Rickie Lee Jones, Elizabeth Fraser, Kría Brekkan etcetera.
