Zemana is a privately held security software provider formed in 2007 by three college graduates who were led by an idea to offer more refined security solutions. It is specialized in security protection for home and business users. Zemana is based in Edirne, Turkey and has offices in Ankara, Turkey and Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Zemana’s focus is on developing security products including additional level of protection, because number of targeted attacks is rapidly growing and new threats are developed to bypass traditional security solutions. One of the purposes of the company is to increase consumer’s awareness and need for protection against targeted attacks especially against ID theft, information stealing and online fraud. Because of an easy-to-use interface and simple settings, the programs are available to every computer user and not only experts.
Zemana’s products are Zemana AntiLogger, Zemana AntiMalware, Zemana SafeOnline and Zemana Mobile Antivirus. The products have been continuously certified by independent test companies, such as MRG Effitas and AV Test, since Zemana’s inception.

History
Zemana was founded in 2007. It is privately held and to this day remains a technology-driven security solutions provider. In 2007, Zemana presented its pioneer product, Zemana AntiLogger, which came out of an idea that a couple of friends developed because there was no product on the market that could defeat the rapidly growing level of hacking variants. Instead of just updating a virus database with known virus variants, Zemana founders came up with a product based on behavioral characteristics, so any unexpected activity on a computer is blocked automatically.
Zemana AntiLogger was first available in English and Turkish while now it is available in 39 languages. It was initially designed to detect and block keylogging software on your PC and to encrypt users keystrokes by keeping them safe from hackers, so even if a keylogger manages to access users private information, it will be completely cryptic and illegible.
One of the main characteristics of Zemana AntiLogger is to detect and block keyloggers and financial malware from stealing users banking information.

Zemana AntiLogger is an anti-keylogger software designed to protect users from financial malware and identity theft. It is developed to be used with users’ existing antivirus as an additional layer of protection. In August 2016 Zemana launched Zemana AntiLogger 2.0 with a simpler user interface and additional new security features such as: ransomware protection, zero-day malware protection, browser cleaning, real-time protection and malware scanner.
Top Ten Reviews (Purch Group) rated Zemana AntiLogger as "the best anti-keylogger software of 2016" with a clear reasoning that it "strikes the delicate balance between functionality and usability".
In August 2016 Zemana discontinued Zemana AntiLogger free version and now it offers a 14-day free trial of the commercialized version and a full premium version.
In 2015, Zemana presented an anti-malware security solution for Microsoft Windows named Zemana AntiMalware. It is a second opinion malware scanner designed to scan and clean a PC from malware. It protects users from known and yet-to-be-born threats such as viruses, Trojans, rootkits, computer worms, spyware, ransomware. Zemana AntiMalware is very efficient in adware removal especially for many hard to remove adware infections.
It is a cloud based anti-malware software with its own signature database. Zemana AntiMalware is highly optimized and lightweight with virus definitions stored in the cloud not cluttering up PCs’ drive. Because it scans the files in the cloud, the detection time for new virus outbreaks is reduced.
In July 2016, MRG Effitas, a UK-based independent IT security research company, conducted a comparative analysis of Zemana AntiMalware and other prevalent generic ransomware tools. The tested version of Zemana AntiMalware was 2.21.2.139. Besides the default settings used, Pandora Cloud-Sandbox Technology was turned on. They tested ransomware protection tools against eleven different ransomware, which have been prevalent in-the wild over the past 3–4 years. Based on this report, Zemana AntiMalware proved to be the best ransomware protection among the tested products during the test.
Zemana AntiMalware is available in two versions, where one is for free use with limited security features and the other version is available in a form of a14-day free trial of the commercialized version including all security features: real-time protection, bootkit and rootkit removal, ransomware protection, malware removal, browser cleaning, zero-day malware protection, malware scanning and automatic updating.
In December 2015 Zemana launched Zemana Mobile Antivirus, an antivirus app designed for Android devices such as mobile phones and tablets. The antivirus protects Android devices from malware, spyware, viruses, Trojans and keeps user’s personal data safe with its anti-keylogging feature that detects and blocks keyloggers, password managers and malicious SMS applications which can track everything user types. Zemana Mobile Antivirus has a 4.4 rating on Google Play store and has been certified by AV-Test with a detection rate above average – 99.5% while the average is 98.8%.
Zemana SafeOnline is a business security solution launched in August 2015, designed mainly for banks and financial institutions to protect their most exposed endpoints - customers. It protects online customers from cyber threats and various malware. Zemana SafeOnline supports Microsoft Windows, and Android platform.
