The whole concept is to get women out of their environment as a homemaker and help them make the journey to become women who can pursue their own passion. It encourages women to start-off their careers, become entrepreneurs, pursue their interest, etc. It also encourages them to watch out for themselves, be safe and have a healthy lifestyle. The initiative aims to achieve an all-round growth of women.

Zee Marathi Jagruti organizes various events events in strategic locations in Mumbai, Pune and Sangli. Through these events they strive to create awareness among women who are in the age-group of 25-30 on various topics like the internet. Jagruti also hosts Unch Mazha Jhoka (UMZ) awards annually, 2016 being its 4th year. These awards encourage women who have struggled and achieved in their respective fields. One of the winners in 2015 Pooja Ghansarwad lives in a Hindu Crematorium in Beed. She said in a newspaper interview, “I witnessed many cremations when I sat outside and studied.
