Zain Cash is a mobile wallet, money transfer, electronic bill payment, funds disbursement service, licensed by the Central Bank of Iraq and launched in late 2015 by Zain and Iraq Wallet. ZainCash allows users to deposit, withdraw, transfer money and pay for goods and services via their mobile phone. The service can be accessed by dialing *210# from a Zain mobile phone.

  • To create a wallet, the user must dial *210# from a Zain SIM card to create a temporarily wallet. The temporarily wallet is valid up to 3 months, during which the user must visit one of Zain Cash agents to complete registration, which will require presenting Civil ID, housing card, and a supporting document. To access the services, user dials *210# and then can transfer money to another wallet holder, recharge phone, or pay bills.

    ICRC Cash Assistance

    ICRC utilized Zain Cash in Iraq to disburse financial assistance to hundreds of families in Iraqi Kurdistan.. The service showed value as Internally displaced persons in Iraq found it convenient to receive funds to their mobile wallet and cash-out from closest Zain Cash agent.

    E-Commerce Payment Solutions

    Zain Cash introduced an online payment solution, ‘Pay with ZainCash’ to allows sellers to accept online payments through their websites and mobile applications, while also enabling customers to purchase products and services online.
