Zahid Roy (born September 9, 1966) is a small business owner and Republican candidate of the Florida State Senate, representing the 20th District, which is based in the northern suburbs of St. Petersburg, since 2012.

History
Roy was born in Sargodha, Pakistan, and moved to Long Island, New York in 1986 at the age of 19. There, he continued his education at Nassau Community College while working in the automotive industry. In 1992, Roy moved to Clearwater, Florida. He continued his education at St. Petersburg College Majoring in Computer Science. At the age of 30, he found one of the major leading E-Commerce Stores for Computer Hardware as Zetec Data, which was based in Clearwater. In 1998, Zahid had founded another company with the name of I BAY NET, INC. which provided high-speed commercial internet connectivity throughout Tampa Bay area. In 2005, Roy started up an Auto Body shop named Auto Body Unlimited located in Clearwater, Florida. With his background in I.T., he later developed OTLogic, which centralizes the entire Automotive Collision Repair management software onto a cloud-based system.
Florida Senate
In 2012, Roy ran for the Florida Senate 20th District, which included Pasco and Pinellas Counties as a Republican. Roy later ran once again, in 2014, against Latvala.
