Early life
Zahid Hasan was born on October 4 to Ilias Uddin Talukdar and Hamida Begum at his grandparent's house in Sirajganj, Bangladesh. His father was a custom superintendent and mother was a housewife. His mother, Hamida Begum died on November 27, 2014 at Samarita Hospital in the capital. Zahid Hasan is the youngest son among eight siblings; he has four brothers and three sisters. Zahid came to Dhaka from his home district to build up his career in any working sector, but eventually turned himself into a famous actor.
Career
Hasan was part of a theatre group for several years before moving to television in 1990. He took the lead in the BTV adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore's Shomapti and the protagonist in Bichchhu. While he made his first film appearance in 1986, his most notable role was in 2000's Srabon Megher Din, for which he won a National Award. In addition to acting, he has directed several serials and teleplays.
Personal life
Hasan is married to Sadia Islam Mou, a Bangladeshi model and dancer. Together they have a daughter and a son. Hasan has a production house named Pushpita Production Limited.
Television
Hasan is well known for his comedic roles in television serials and natoks. His debut drama was Jibon Jemon, which was telecast in 1990. He performed in the drama serial Graduate. Zahid Hasan has acted in more than 80 television dramas. Gaining popularity for his television roles, Hasan has won many Meril Prothom Alo Awards for his performances.
