Yves Bouthillier was born on 26 February 1901 in Saint-Martin-de-Ré. His father, Louis Bouthillier, was merchant-owner. His mother was the former Mathilde Bouju.

He graduated from the École Centrale Paris.

Career

He served as the French Ministry of Finance from 1940 to 1942.

Personal life

He married Germaine Bouju on 3 August 1922. They had a daughter, Françoise.

Death

He died on 4 January 1977 in Paris.
