Yuzhnoye Tushino District (Russian: Южное Тушино райо́н) is an administrative district (raion) of North-Western Administrative Okrug, and one of the 125 raions of Moscow, Russia.

History

The first wave of mass housing in the district began in the 1940-1950s still a part of the city Tushino. At that time, it was built along the streets of neighborhoods Skhodnenskaya, Lodochnaya and Okruzhnaya, but is currently under a mass demolition of these buildings and the construction in their place, modern high-rise buildings. The next wave of construction took place in the 1960-1970s, When neighborhoods were built along the boulevards Yana Raisa and Khimki, Tushino airport and tourist streets.
