Yukio Tanaka (田中 幸男, Tanaka Yukio , born July 10, 1949), better known by his pen name Yumenosuke Akademiya (阿迦手観屋 夢之助, あかでみや ゆめのすけ, Akademiya Yumenosuke), is a Japanese video game designer.

Life and career

He gained a reputation as a maverick during the 1980s for creating unorthodox games like Hiryu no Ken and is perhaps best remembered today for his rebellious marketing techniques. During his life, Yumenosuke founded the video game development company Culture Brain Inc. A series of Culture Brain games has been credited to "Yumenosuke Project (ゆめのすけプロジェクト)".
