Technical details
YubNub is open-source software licensed under the MIT License. It was written in Ruby and uses the Ruby on Rails framework. It was created in June 2005 as a project for the Rails Day programming contest. Currently, Jon Aquino is the sole developer. [5]
Due to reliability problems with Ruby on Rails and its shared hosting on TextDrive, in 2013 Yubnub was rewritten in PHP and moved to Linode for hosting.
