Biography
His realname was Wang Chang(왕창 王淐). His first name was Wang Gan(왕간 王侃), later he was Renamed Wang Chang.
He was son of Gojong of Goryeo, his father was first given to him, Marquis Angyung(안경후 安慶侯). In 1253, promoted to Duke of Angyung(안경공 安慶公). In 1253 and in 1259, 1265, 1266, he made multiple visits to the Yuan ruler in China, as envoy of the Goryeo dynasty.
in June 1269, dictator Im Yeon was deposed to his older brother King Wonjong. But prince Wang Sim, son of Wonjon was go to Imperium Yuan. Prince Wang Sim was tattle and help request. In November 1269, Imperium Yuan was dethronement to Yeongjong and rehabilitation to his brother Wonjong.
