History
Y&R Austin, rebranded as such in 2013, began under the name SicolaMartin. SicolaMartin was founded by Tom Sicola and Steve Martin in 1985. Some of the firm's first clients included Brice Foods, Motorola, 3M and IBM. By 1997, SicolaMartin was named one of the Top 50 high-tech advertising agencies by Marketing Computers and by 2001, was cited by Adweek as the top regional agency in the Southwest. That year, the company was acquired by Young & Rubicam. From 2006-2016, Y&R Austin has been named one of the "Best Companies to Work for in Texas" by Texas Monthly.
