History
XOOM Energy was launched in 2011. The company was originally based in Charlotte but later relocated to nearby Huntersville, North Carolina in 2013.
In 2015, XOOM Energy was ranked thirteenth overall in the Inc. 5000, which placed it first in the energy industry. ranked first for the energy industry on Inc. Magazine's "Inc. 5000" list for 2015.
In 2015 the company allied with Renewable Power Direct to provide delivery options for renewable electricity in the Texas, New York, New England and deregulated Mid Atlantic markets.
