X2 Digital ISV is a UK-based Independent Software Vendor specialising in business and data software products. Founded and headquartered in Derby, England, the company began as a software consultancy for Microsoft Windows-based and Web-based (Webware) software products.

In March 2005 X2 Digital ISV launched its range of web-based support products branded under the name Conscientia (Latin for 'Knowledge'). The range included an online Knowledge Base management (Conscientia KB) and a Support Ticket system, the former of which had mediocre sales in the months following its launch. Two months after the release of Conscientia KB the company released a free limited-feature version for personal and not-for-profit use. The release was met with resounding success and boosted the brand and other Conscientia products.
In mid-2006 the company began its steady transition into Microsoft Windows-based software applications, as opposed to Webware products.
Acquisition of Conscientia
In the autumn of 2006 X2 Digital ISV partly sold the rights to the Conscientia Webware range to iFuse Technologies Ltd, another UK-based technology company. The acquisition included the partly developed Conscientia KB2, the successor to the original Conscientia KB product.
