History

In 2005, X & Hell (under the name Weapon X & Ken Hell) released their debut album Sneakerpimpin Aint Easy. The album spawned three singles, "Otherman", "Sneakerpimpin Aint Easy" and "Stares and Whispers 05" featuring Renee Geyer. "Otherman" received steady airplay on Australian commercial radio and received the Channel V Ripe Clip of the Week.

Both "Otherman" and the album Sneakerpimpin Aint Easy were nominated at the Australian ARIA Awards for Best Urban Release in 2005 and 2006 respectively. The album earned them Australian tour support slots with 50 Cent & G-Unit, Mobb Deep and Xzibit in 2005 and 2006.

X & Hell are also known for their three part mixtape series Scar-non.

In 2007, X & Hell released a video for "Drive It Like It's Hot", performed by Ken Hell's alter ego Take it Easy Heezy, a parody song and video based on the Snoop Dogg hit "Drop It Like Its Hot". In 2007, DJ A-Style won the Victorian leg of the DMC Championships.

X & Hell were signed to Melbourne record label Illusive Sounds, part of the Mushroom Group. Illusive Sounds is home to Australian acts Bliss n Eso, Solid MC, Paris Wells, Lowrider and The Winnie Coopers.

In 2009, X & Hell released their second studio album, "Million Dollar Sex Party", which included the single "Scrapin wit a Beezy on Thizz in the Bay".
