Birmingham's bid was presented by David Benck, Edgar Welden, Gene Hallman, and Scotty Meyers. The cities that bid for the 2021 games were
The final decision was announced on January 22, 2015 in Lausanne, awarding the games to Birmingham.
In addition to Legion Field, Barber Motorsports Park will also be a prime venue for the games.
