It represented Canada along with Xavier Dolans Mommy (in foreign language film category) at the 87th Academy Awards. It was the only Canadian film that made the Best Original Songs shortlist for its songs "Moon" and "Long Braid". At the 72nd Golden Globe Awards for Best Foreign Language Feature Film, Work Weather Wife made the top 53 films in the long list, along with Mommy and Siddharth. It stars Harpreet Sandhu and Reema Nagra in the lead role with Dilbag Brar and Kirat Bhattal and is directed by Harpreet Sandhu.
