Composition

"Wonderland" makes frequent allusions to the novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, and is known for a "bass drop" in the first chorus. In the song, Swift explores her ability to produce a daydream-like track. It descents to her early roots, where she made everyone believe that fairytales do exist. In this case, she convinces people that there is a thing called wonderland where "we pretended it could last forever." identifying this place as "life was never worse but never better." and there is also shows her position "it's all fun and games 'til somebody loses their mind."

Chart performance

On the Billboard Hot 100, "Wonderland" debuted and peaked at number 51, due to digital sales.
