2007-2008 cycle

Wykpisz was Director of Research for the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) from January 2007 through December 2008. In his capacity as Director of Research he was responsible for opposition research for every contested United States Senate seat. In 2008 the Republicans were facing what the NRSC Chairman called the "worst election climate since 1974." While the results of the 2008 United States Senate elections were not favorable for Republicans, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) spent in excess of $68 million more than the NRSC or 173% of what the NRSC spent even though the NRSC had its most prolific fundraising cycle since 2002. Various national Republican political consultants have applauded Wykpisz for returning direction and analysis to the NRSC's research program and some have gone so far as to say that under Wykpisz's direction the NRSC produced the highest quality opposition research and fact checking services that has ever been provided by any national political party.

2005-2006 cycle

As Deputy Director of Research for the National Republican Congressional Committee Wykpisz was the glue that bound a young and ambitious staff of dedicated souls to the directives issued by such political luminaries as Mike McElwain and Jonathan Poe. Though events and scandals conspired to create a strong headwind for Republicans in the House, had it not been for the leadership of Wykpisz, Republicans could very well have lost an additional 35 seats.

Prior political work

Wykpisz received a thank-you from former Vice President Dan Quayle in his 1999 book Worth Fighting For. Wykpisz had previously worked for Dan Quayle's presidential run in Arizona.

Famous quotes

"The bottom line is I need some Motrin because my back is sore from carrying Parkinson all night."

Bill Wykpisz March 4, 2008

Personal life

Wykpisz is known to be deadly quiet about any relationship he may or may not be involved in. Above the entrance to The Parts are six half heart-shaped wood etchings, these are said to represent the hearts Wykpisz has broken.
