Hanson has commented on various issues ranging from fake tans to the credit crunch. He is a tutor for the international protocol and hospitality consultancy firm 'The English Manner'.
In November 2008, Hanson filmed for the Australian version of Ladette to Lady However, he quit filming two days early due to concerns with the production's integrity. In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Hanson stated that the programme is 'detrimental to promoting good manners and etiquette'.
In April 2011, he appeared on Russell Howard's Good News and consulted Howard on behaviour he deemed appropriate to the royal family. In January 2012, Hanson helped set the Guinness World Record for the Longest Curtsey Relay in 5 Minutes.
