Major-General William Frederick Cleeve CB JP (1853 – 31 January 1922) was a British Army officer who became Commandant of the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich.

Military career

Cleeve was commissioned into the Royal Artillery in 1873. He served in Second Anglo-Afghan War and later in the Second Boer War. He was appointed Chief Instructor in Gunnery in 1901 and Commandant of the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich holding that post throughout World War I.

Family

In 1894 he married Gwladys Elizabeth Mitchell; they had five sons and two daughters.
