White Sun (Nepali: Seto Surya) is a 2016 drama film written and directed by Deepak Rauniyar and starring Dayahang Rai. It world premiered in the Horizons section at the 73rd edition of the Venice Film Festival. It was later screened at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival.

Plot
Movie dates back to period just after end of a decade long Nepalese civil war (1996-2006). This movie is all about story of conflict of two brothers Maoist guriella fighter Chandra aka Agni (Dayahang Rai) and Suraj (Ravindra SIngh Baniya). Conflict arises when their father Chitra who was also village chief and true follower of Monarch dies. Agni who was away fighting against his father's ideology returns after knowing about father's death. Story is accompanied by Durga who is ex-wife of Chandra and their daughter Pooja though Durga makes it clear that neither Chandra nor his brother Suraj (Rabindra Singh Baniya) is the biological father. White Sun (Seto Surya) has bagged the Best Asian Feature Film award at the 27th Singapore International Film Festival] (SGIFF)(2016).
