At Westsyde Secondary there are language programs: French, Spanish and English. The school is known is for its successful arts program that includes Beginner, Junior and Senior band. There is also a jazz band, two choirs and a drama program. The drama department puts on a different play each year. In the Physical Education program, students receive the 60 minutes of physical activity required daily by the Government of British Columbia.
