Wesley 'Wes' Karl Duncan, (born in 1980 in Sonora, California), is an Republican American politician and the current Nevada Assistant Attorney General. He was a Republican member of the Nevada State Assembly since February 4, 2013 and was re-elected to the State Assembly in November 2014 but resigned before his term started when the newly elected Nevada Attorney General, Adam Laxalt, selected him to be the Assistant Attorney General.

Duncan earned his AA from Columbia College, his BA from University of California, Berkeley, and his JD from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.

Elections

  • 2012 Challenging incumbent Democratic Assemblyman Marcus Conklin for the District 37 seat, Duncan was unopposed for the June 12, 2012 Republican Primary and won the November 6, 2012 General election with 14,969 votes (51.l5%) against Conklin, who had held the seat since 2003.
