Wellington School was a small private school in Wellington Road, Bebington, Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, England. Founded by John Philip Fogg in 1953, the main school building (Mount Allars) was bought with the accrued 'war pay' owed to Mr. Fogg whilst being a Japanese POW for four years. Pupils generally numbering around 240, the school was run for many decades by Philip Fogg (known as "Foggo") who was also the Headmaster and a teacher of languages (Latin, German and French) with Brian Bristow acting as Deputy Head. Mr. Fogg's wife Enid also assisted in the running of the domestic side of the school.

Wellington started as a prep school, but soon began admitting more older boys, becaming a prominent institution in the 1960s, '70s and '80s, with an academic and sporting record that created a wide catchment area. Oxford and Cambridge were amongst the many universities that were attended by its pupils.

The educational philosophy of Philip Fogg was that "given the right environment, a boy will seek to emulate the good example of those who strive to guide him".

Wellington only admitted boys until September 1986 when it became co-educational after being sold to Mr. Kirch, headmaster and owner of Avalon School, West Kirby who then became Wellington's second headmaster. Although Mr. Kirch sold Wellington in 1987 to Nord Anglia Education PLC, he held the post until December 1990.

In January 1991, Wellington's third Headmaster was Terrence Capper, the long-standing Arts Master and previous Deputy Head. Mr. Capper retired during the 1992/1993 school year due to ill health. During much of this time, the school was run under the leadership of Dr. Brian Scott, the then Deputy Head who subsequently became Wellington's fourth and final Headmaster, until its closure on 12 July 1995. Dr. Scott went on to become Headmaster of Avalon School, West Kirby, until his retirement in the summer of 2009.

The school's motto was Honor Praemium Virtutis (Honour is the Reward Of Virtue).

After a campaign by teaching staff and parents to keep the school open, Wellington was closed in the summer of 1995 and the site was sold to developers to become a housing estate, but still surrounded by the school's original stone walls and trees.
