The Welcome to the Grindhouse is a series of double feature DVDs featuring exploitation films from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. The series is released by BCI Entertainment. The first wave was released on July 3, 2007.
Each “Welcome to the Grindhouse” DVD release features two full-length theatrical films, complete with trailers and theater ads. Each has two themed films that represent the Grindhouse staples – Martial Arts, Horror, Sexploitation and Action—with some of the titles coming from the Crown International Pictures library.

With the release of the 2007 film Grindhouse THE WEINSTEIN COMPANY decided to go after all the DVD companies that are using the GRINDHOUSE phrase on their DVDs. To avoid a lawsuit the name of the collection was changed to Exploitation Cinema. The style of the box art and DVD layout stayed the same as the Welcome To The Grindhouse collection.
