Eulogy for the Dyke Bar

In 2015, Chicago-based artist Macon Reed featured her installation art "Eulogy for the Dyke Bar" at Wayfarers. Composed of cardboard, plaster, and wood, it was a life-size depiction of a gay bar representing the declining phenomenon of the LGBT community. In March 2016, the exhibition was again featured in the Pulse Contemporary Art Fair.

Weekend with Bernie

On 12 February 2016, New media artist Matt Starr organized the art exhibition "Weekend with Bernie" for Wayfarers. The exhibition included installation art "Faces of Bernie Sanders Dank Meme Stash" by Ryder Ripps featuring Skype video chats with members of the Facebook group Bernie Sanders' Dank Meme Stash as well as a painting of American rapper Lil B as Sanders by Canadian record producer Ryan Hemsworth. The exhibition raised over $10,000 dollars in donations to the Sanders presidential campaign.
