Early life
Wasim started his career from the movie Chanda Hariye Gelo in 1972 and directed by S.M Shafi. It was a small character. In the year 1974 Wasim got a great opportunity for full hero role for the movie Rater Por Din and it was directed by another great director Mohsin. Movie became super hit and he also became a superstar by overnight.
Wasim acted in over 150 movies. Almost all movie were successful. The Rain Movie recognized him over the world. The film was shown in more than 46 countries . Most of the time Wasim partnered with Olivia. He also worked with Shabana, Babita, Rajina, Anju and many more actresses.
Personal life
Wasim had one son and a daughter, Bushra Ahmed. She died after committing suicide from college roof at the age of just 14.
Death
The actor died due to number of health complications on 18 April 2021 at Shahabuddin Medical College Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
