With an overall record of 176-105-37, Athey led the Shoremen to 2 MAC championships in 1954 and 1969; had MAC Tournament appearances in 1954, 1959, 1965, 1969, 1971, and 1973; 2 Mason Dixon Conference Championships in 1961 and 1964;5 Mason Dixon Tournament appearances in 1961, 1964, 1969, 1971, and 1973; and 1 NCAA tournament appearance in 1973. Tom Bowman would be the successor to Athey and would assume head coaching duties from 1982-1989 where he posted a record of 46-77-9. Peter Allen then took over the head coaching job for a year in 1990 where his team went 3-14-2. From 1991-1996, Todd Helbling coached the Shoremen to a 44-54-13 record. Lin Outten would experience a little bit more success in his time as head coach from the years 1997-2005 where he led the Shoremen to an ECAC tournament appearance in 2000 and posted and overall record of 65-57-10. Currently, Drew Hoffman is the head coach of the Washington College Shoremen Men's Soccer Team. Since 2006, Hoffman has an overall record of 26-55-2.
