Warren Woods Christian School was founded in 1976 as a ministry of Warren Woods Church of the Nazarene, known today as The Woods Church.
Since that time, The Woods congregation has continued to support the school and in 1983, the church purchased the current school building and invested over $100,000 for renovation. Eleven years later, the church, once again, invested over one million dollars to add additional classrooms, a gymnasium, science lab and a youth center for school and church activities. As of 2013 the school has seen an increase in enrollment over the past five years which School Administrator Beth Denhart attributes to “parents see[ing] the value in a Christian education that puts an emphasis on the word ‘Christian,’ as well as a strong academic program paired with extracurricular activities.” One of the school's most recent community events was a living nativity held in December 2013.
