Family history

His Father, Lyman Martin, and Mother, Merle Haney Martin, were from Ogden, Kansas. He married his wife, Georgia Proctor on July 27, 1936, who died on January 28, 1990. Warren and his wife had three children together.

Party membership and vice-presidential nomination

Martin was a member of the Prohibition Party. He ran as the vice-president in 1984 with Earl Dodge. Prior to this, he had served on the Kansas State Parole Board in 1959.
