Walter J. Gorney (April 12, 1912 – March 5, 2004) was an American actor. He was best known as "Crazy Ralph" in the 1980 slasher film Friday the 13th. He reprised the role in Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) and had an uncredited role as the narrator for the prologue to Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988), making him the first actor in Friday the 13th history to have two different roles in the franchise.

Biography

Gorney immigrated to the United States in 1913 when he was one year old with his mother Zofia Kania Gorney to join his father John Gorney in Pittsfield, MA,. His mother died a year later. His father John Gorney remarried in 1915 to Katherine Albrycht. He grew up with six half brothers and sisters: Benjamin (Ben), Josephine, Stanley, Sophie, Helen and Irene. When he graduated from Pittsfield High School, he left Pittsfield to begin his acting career. His other film credits include Endless Love (1981), Trading Places (1983), Easy Money (1983), his final role was in the 1986 comedy movie Seize the Day.

On March 5, 2004, Gorney died in New York City, aged 91.
