“ He’s in this transition period,” said Tyga of his collaborator. " I felt like when me and Chris Brown did ‘Deuces,’ it was like a moment. I feel like this would be a big moment for both of us with this song.” The song is produced by Maejor Ali and was premiered on October 21. The music video was shot on November 14, 2013 in Long Beach, California. Tyga explained the concept behind the special Video. “It’s real Matrix. We got some of the guys that do CGI for some of the big movies,” said Tyga. “We’re freezing time and switching different worlds trying to get away from certain things the negative that comes with the lifestyle. In October 2013, it debuted at number 41 on the UK Singles Chart. "Wait for a Minute" debuted at number 34 in the 50 singles chart of Belgium. "Wait for a Minute" debuted at number 31 in Netherlands Top 100 and at number 45 in Spain. It debuted at number 47 on the Canadian charts and number 6 in Denmark.
