WLFV (98.9 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Midlothian, Virginia and serving the Greater Richmond Region. WLFV is owned and operated by Alpha Media. It is simulcast with 100.3 WARV-FM in Petersburg, Virginia. WLFV covers communities to the north of Richmond and WARV-FM covers communities to the south.
Studios and offices for WLFV and WARV-FM, as well as sister station WBBT-FM are on Arboretum Place in Richmond. WLFV's transmitter is off Basie Road in Henrico, Virginia.
On December 5, 2016, the Educational Media Foundation filed an application with the FCC to purchase both WLFV and WARV, and has already applied to flip both to their K-Love network upon the sale's completion; combined with its recent acquisition of WZEZ, EMF will improve its signal in the River City greatly with the changes.
On March 22, 2017 WLFV began stunting, directing listeners to sister station WWLB (the classic country-formatted "Hank FM"). On March 23, 2017, the station went silent in advance of its impending flip to K-Love.
