Licensed to Greenville,Mississippi, USA, with studios and offices located at 830 Main Street in Greenville, Mississippi. The station is currently owned by Delta Radio Network LLC. The station features the "D.K. Radio Show" weekday mornings. The station also features the "Retro Lunch" hosted by "Lucky" weekdays during the lunch hour. The "Retro Lunch" plays songs from the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s, as requested by listeners. The station also features weather updates from Tom Churchill, every 30 minutes. History
WIQQ, known as "Q102", signed on August 31, 1985 and has been programming Top 40/Pop since its inception. The original owner, River Broadcasting Inc. (George Pine and Jimmy Karr) sold the station to Debut Broadcasting in 2007. Delta Radio Network LLC acquired the station on April 1, 2010.
D.K. Radio Show
The D.K. radio show is broadcast live and local at the WIQQ studio in Greenville, Mississippi. The show is hosted by "D.K. Pierce" and plays all of the current Top 40/Pop songs that are currently at the top of the American Billboard Charts. The show also features several dance songs in the mornings known as "D.K.'s Booty Breakdown" they range from songs such as "Get Ready For This" by "2 Unlimited" or "We Like To Party" by "The Vengaboys" to songs like "It Takes Two" by "Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock" or "Wild Thing" by "Tone Loc" and everything in between. Throwback songs ranging from the 1980s to the early 2000s are also added in the mix every Thursday known as "Throwback Thursday". There are also several guest that appear on the show to tell listeners about local events that take place throughout the listening area. News from around the world and local news is also heard. Listeners also have many chances to win various prizes and contest on most mornings including the most notable "Birthday Prize Packs" which includes gift certificates to local restaurants, a birthday cake, and much more. The "Birthday Pack" is given away every weekday around 9 AM. The show can be heard every weekday from 6 to 10 AM.
Retro Lunch
Heard every weekday at 12-1 PM, the Retro lunch features all "Throwback" or "Retro" songs. The songs that are played are mostly from the 1980s and 1990s and sometimes from the early 2000's. Hosted by the midday DJ "Lucky" all of the songs are requested from listeners throughout the coverage area. The songs do not focus on one specific genre and can range from Dance Music to Grunge and everything in between. The lineup features artist such: Madonna, Elton John, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Mariah Carey, Duran Duran, Nirvana, ETC.
