On March 3, 2009, the station retrobranded to 92.7 The Planet WCMI-FM. The station is now 92.7 & 98.5 The Planet WCMI-FM. It is the Tri-State's home for Kentucky Wildcats Basketball. Also the Tri-State's ONLY leader for new rock! WCMI-FM was the original call sign for the Ashland, KY FM allocation at 93.7 MHz (now WDGG). That facility had also previously used WRVC-FM in addition to WAMX.
