History

This is the second English entertainment channel launched by Turner International India Private Limited in India after HBO.

  • While sharing a name with the former The WB Television Network in the United States, WB in India is a distinct standalone channel (in ownership structure, programming offering and demographic target) unrelated to TheWB.com.
  • Programming

WB India primarily broadcasts movies but also shows the comedy sitcom Two and a Half Men late nights.

    Censorship

All movies and TV series broadcasts are censored to a considerable extent. Swear words are muted out and the subtitle text changed. Most scenes with too much blood or hint of erotica are totally edited out.
