Visa policy of Paraguay

A foreign national wishing to enter Paraguay must obtain a visa unless they are citizens of one of the eligible visa exempt countries. Paraguay visas are documents issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its subsequent diplomatic missions abroad; with the stated goal of regulating and facilitating migratory flows.

Visa exemption

Holders of passports of the following 57 jurisdictions do not require a visa to enter Paraguay for up to 90 days if holding a valid passport.

1 – including all classes of British nationality.
2 - may also travel on an ID card.

Holders of diplomatic or official/service passports of Cuba, Dominican Republic, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Lebanon, Morocco, South Korea, Taiwan, Vatican City and Vietnam do not require a visa.

An agreement between Paraguay and Georgia on mutual visa-free visits for holders of diplomatic and service passports was signed in September 2016 and is yet to be ratified.

Visa on arrival

Citizens of the following countries may be granted a 90-day visa on arrival if arriving at Silvio Pettirossi International Airport only. They must pay a reciprocity fee when entering Paraguay. The fee varies according to nationality. Otherwise, the visa must be obtained prior to arrival.
