Virtual interviewing, also referred to as video interviewing or digital interviewing, enables people to conduct web based video interviews in an automated fashion. Virtual interviewing is becoming the standard method for first round screening providing interviewers with an efficient fair and structured method for conducting interviews. It allows interviewers to interview people who traditionally would not have been able to make an interview at a certain time and place. It helps in making recruiting process more efficient and in discovering better talent. It allows organizations to create, send, save, manage and evaluate candidates through the Internet, anytime.

Interview process

  • The interviewer creates questions in text format for an online interview.
  • The interviewer invites candidates for the online interview via email (a link to the interview is sent in the email)
  • The candidate opens the link to the online interview in the web browser. The candidate then reads and answers each question using the webcam.
  • The interviewers reviews the answers and grades candidates.
  • Finally, the interviewer invites selected candidates for the face to face interview.
  • Interview locations

    Candidates can attend the interview wherever suits them. They need to choose a room that is quiet and bright as this gives better picture quality. They can go to a internet cafes as well but make sure that it is quiet to complete the interview.
