Education

Vinod's initial education was at Chennai having obtained his Bachelors in law from Madras University, India. He later went on to Cornell University, USA to complete his L.L.M. Vinod became the first non-American International President of The International Law Students Association (ILSA), a body which enjoys advisor status to the U.N. He went on to receive diplomas and executive training from Harvard University, London School of Economics, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and Indian School of Business Hyderabad. Vinod came a full circle when he completed his Doctorate in law from University of Madras.

Professional Work

He has been instrumental in expansion of the firm's Corporate & International practice. A certified director & strategic thinker he plays an advisory role and is on board with several corporate. He has propagated the Surana model for sustainable development. He has brought out the following publications & reports.

Cutting edge research and analysis of over 300 pages, on the convergence of entertainment, media, communications and the internet and its impact on the regulatory environment which, at that point of time, had separate regulations for each sector.

  • Vinod was the only lawyer to be part of the Indian Prime Minister’s delegation to Japan in 2007 and to South Africa in 2008. He led several delegations under the banner of Confederation of Indian Industry[CII] and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry [FICCI] to the Caribbean, South America & Israel (consisting of leading industrialists, investors and government officials) to promote Indian diplomatic, political and business interests in that region. Vinod has been sponsored for several training programs by the Governments of Germany, Japan and United States of America specializing in the areas of law, management and technology.
