Vince Lynch is a Los Angeles based entrepreneur best known for his work in the technology, media and music industries. He has worked with EMI, Virgin, Spotify, The Times of India and is a co-founder of Synkio, an online marketplace for licensing music.

Life and career

At 18 years of age Lynch was the Producer of CKQB and produced nationally syndicated album premieres including The Strokes ‘Is This It’ & U2's ‘All That You Can't Leave Behind’. He went on to launch radio station CIKR for Rogers VP John Wright. The station won CMW station of the year for being the most successful launch in Canadian radio history. By 21 he was a music supervisor for animation & production company Curious Projects.

At 23 Lynch moved from Canada to the UK to produce a network of 48 radio stations for GWR Group.

By 25 he was Creative Director at Richard Branson's Virgin UK where Broadcast singled Lynch out as 'One To Watch' for achieving so much so quickly. At Virgin he produced documentaries for many artists including The Foo Fighters, The Killers, The Rolling Stones as well events such as the Isle Of Wight Festival, The Virgin Media V Festival, T in the Park & Latitude.

In 2008 Virgin Radio UK was bought by The Times of India and Lynch rebranded the network which included the launch of new London stations & widespread industry awards and accolades. He was responsible for business development for TIML (The Times of India) One Golden Square Ltd which included the creation of complimentary businesses and partnerships with EMI, Procter & Gamble & Live Nation.

In 2010 he was the producer of ‘Gorillaz On The Road’, a series documenting life on the road for Gorillaz hosted by Gorillaz Musical Director Mike Smith

In 2011 Lynch was the driving force behind the first ever crowd-sourced single created to give exposure & all proceeds to the UK's homeless charity Shelter. The project partnered Abbey Road Studios, Absolute Radio, Shelter, YouTube & Ignition Creative. The single created millions of impressions for the charity worldwide and featured thousands of musicians & artists who contributed to the song and video.

In 2011 he moved to Los Angeles and his company Hypernyms created Matt Berry's ‘Dirty Work’ App which The Guardian voted 10 Best Apps.

In 2012 Lynch worked with Abby Road Studios to give young artists a chance to play, record and showcase their music in the iconic London studio.

In 2013 he launched Synkio, an online and mobile platform for music licensing which is used by creative agencies and production companies worldwide including BBH, Apple, Droga 5 & Vice

Lynch currently lives in Los Angeles and his company Action Figure works with Spotify to create branded experiences with clients such as Becks, Microsoft, Kia, Southern Comfort and Coca Cola. He is also an advisor to several smaller startups including Dumbstruck the video messaging and reaction app.
