Vilvanathan (15 October, 1928 – 26 June, 2009) was an Indian architect, who played an important role in building houses etc., he was also called "Mastry". He spent most of his childhood running into financial problems and started working at an early age to supplement his family's income. Vilvanathan was brought up in a small village, called Thiruvalam, Tamil Nadu.

Early life

Vilva as a child, had a tough routine, due to the financial problems he was not educated, but started his work as a Coolie.

After 8 years of working hard he started his own architect business. he went to Bangalore and started his work there. As the people of Bangalore started liking his architecture, he settled in Bangalore where he became known for building houses for the people.

Vilvanathan died on 26 June, 2009 due to cancer.
