History

The station was built to serve the Godrej Industries Complex which houses several Godrej factories and IT companies like Accenture, Atos, Capgemini, WNS etc.

Platform layout

The station has reservation facility (open from 8 am to 2 pm) for long distance outstation trains also. The reservation counter is on the North (KJMG/TNA/KYN) side foot over bridge alongside Mumbai suburban ticket counters.
